Burn the Tsar and fire the pyre,
For the lascivious popes of pop culture.
Join the heresy and fight the liar,
And break the sceptre of the TV vulture.

Bend a broken knee to the king’s of pop slavery,
And doom your rich soul to a bleeding hole.
When blind tyrants cavort with lusting lords,
We lose our freedom to screaming hordes.

Out of poison will grow the tree of light,
Because a heresy is born again tonight.
As I plant in your heart the seed, the dart,
Together we will spawn the traitor’s finest art.
These rusted strings ring with a sting,
To call the faithless to the banner of Cathar criminality

It’s still raining on the rat in a cage,
He’s stuck in the cage because of his rage.
His anger to break free creates the chains,
And his rebellion is what pulls on the reins.

So make my ears bleed with something please,
I’ll savour the saviour of musical disease.
An electrical storm born of a decadent morn,
Will bathe me in the rebel’s artistic porn.

Out of poison will grow the tree of light,
Because a heresy is born again tonight.
As I plant in your heart the seed, the dart,
Together we will spawn the traitor’s finest art.
These rusted strings ring with a sting,
To call the faithless to the banner of Cathar criminality.

"These rusted strings ring with a sting,

Of course your poem can be taken two ways, and probably more, but I sure agree with you on a religious note anyway. As a matter of fact, I also agree with the garbage on t.v. too

Enjoying your work, and know a poet here called Serenity will enjoy it too, so sending it to her.  Again, welcome.

You are on a roll. "For the lascivious popes of pop culture." Taking aim and firing both barrels is how I'm taking your words of war.

Very glad you like it (Strange how inspiring Simon Cowell can be...maybe not what he had in mind though). Many thanks for the warm welcome.
