She took her shirt off
Just slowly enough
That the hurt of her scars
Could take their marks somewhere else

Her eyes slowly took her down the road of Evermore
A street a few miles down
Where the southern rain came down and played

She slowly adjusted her earrings
First the right
Then the left
Her skin embracing the touch of her hand
Like her bedroom window against the back of the wind

She was just a child
But her tears
Were pictures of the wind
Holding the ledges of a more seasoned woman.

Her body was so cold
She held her face with both palms
Like her mother use to when
Her cheeks became so red
her tears fell along the wooden den

She was crying in her sleep
With the back of her left palm
Slowly sliding down her cheek.

Shes on her way to Evermore
Shes lost in her sleep
Shes on her way
Let the sun know
Shes on her way to Evermore.

This is a heartbreaking scene, I felt the womans tears, and the southern rain against the pane.

Enjoyed your heart rendering poem~

The pain of this grabs me by the throat.  The whole poem is superb, but I keep reading:

She was just a child
But her tears
Were pictures of the wind
Holding the ledges of a more seasoned woman.

Tomer, this is you as a portrait-painter at your very best - and wow! that is saying a lot!
