I’m much too old
for Daisy Dukes
I really don’t fit
the half century mold
But the way I see things
it’s not that hard
to understand why
I wear them
to work in the yard

It’s not like I have neighbors
to letch or offend
and the cars that go by
don’t honk or go in the ditch

These old cut offs hold memories
of Sturgis and my old man
a little loaded with scissors in hand
And the mere fact that I still fit ‘em
is amazing to me
so I don’t really care
what shows of my derrière
because only my yard can see

Wonderful...had my nephew in from Kansas yesterday - we grilled out back in the HEAT, it
hit 90 according to my yardometer. It was a beautiful day like you said.

You go, girl! Sorry to say that I don't fit my Daisy Dukes anymore ~ but if I did, I'd be flashing more than my garden with them! lol
