My mental age exceeds my chronological it seems illogical

Full comprehension remains marginal
Fully phenomenal wait forever for invasion

Time, it ain't nothing but an unsolved equation

My mind is a profound universe filled with curse words
My rhyme is a release of peace thought as I disperse verbs

Design a plan of escape into oblivion
Seriously I can't withstand the land that we're both living in

Come with me and give me support, supply assistance
We'll drive the distance and probably die in the persistence

Of breaking free from the age old constraints
Infinity continues, the life force curls fate

The energy drains from the power surges, devoured the urges

The fear is primal when the final hour emerges
Procrastinate and wait until the last minute

Indeed for all the procrastinators, there might be a bad surprise.

Your poem expresses very well the turmoil a human mind can be in, while searching for answers.

I like the youth of this poem.
You already know that physiology and
mental awareness do not necessarily
align themselves at any given age...

and sometimes, they never do.

I'm nearing 60...so why is it only my
body looks that way, but my mind is stuck
on 38? I think younger than I am; when I
was 18, I thought older than I was.

This is good!

Now, more, please.

A beautiful poem, Fabiani, and I hope it was as cathartic as you say.  I am 65 and absolutely love being 65, and have weathered many storms from early childhood onwards, and found early on that WB Yeats' "peace comes dropping slow" if you reach out for it and embrace it in the natural and manufactured world around you and within yourself, rather than rely on others.  Nobody will care for you and is as able to do what is truly best for you as you, yourself can.  If you find a partner to enhance your life, well and good, but you need to be whole within yourself before a partner can bring true happiness.

Wishing you at least moments of peace that eventually stretch past the times of turmoil in between and soften the rough edges

it seems that age is just a number and old souls grow up to be youthful spirits.
