Words of a poet are dreams of the dawning
Morning to morning and season to year
Summer and winter the silence is calling
From stars of the galaxy, distant and clear

What do you see from your place in the universe
Phrases of beauty in mirrors of time
Stars are eternal as love everlasting
Verses, eternal to lovers of rhyme

Tides ever changing are mysteries of wonder
Meadows of peace are God’s soft lullabies
Rhythms of life pulse the depth of the heavens
Poetry echoes the width of the skies

Verses, eternal to lovers of rhyme

~*~

Oh my Lady Santos...

here in my state is all that is
unstately...as the "arts" funding
will be disappearing....and it is
up to people like you, who make it
all worthwhile, to keep people
aligned with the real world...for even
though at times ours is a dream world?

Without dreams, to what would humanity
aspire?

Beautiful, and I thank you!

Dear Elizabeth your word are always music to my ears. And the music lingers long after I read your beautiful poetry. You are one of my greatest inspirations.

Poetry, as quiet as it is kept . . . rocks!

So does your poem . . .

I am taking a reading break after reading this.  Liz, your poem is incredible - and leaves me with a warmth in my heart. I only wish that I could write like this.

Wonderful ... just wonderful.

Without a doubt, beautiful words of a poet, what a fitting title.
This flows with such beautiful grace Elizabeth, as all of your poetic words do.

Superb!

...wonderful write.  This:

"Phrases of beauty in mirrors of time"

reminded me of those sacred words, "apples of gold in pictures of silver."  Very well done...enjoyed it all
