Listening to every heart

13,648, 4-2-11

And here we are
Nearly twelve years later, a
Mini town
A community
Of one man’s dream.

I still wonder at his vision,
His fortitude, his
Desire.

I am very aware of some
Of his headaches.

But…

Here we are.
Poets who have grown
Friendships;
Poets who have been
Put off by slight restrictions
[and I wonder how they do
In the real world]

And poets whose prose brings artists
then contributors, with novelists
bring family

And still, they come, heartily,
Without fear, seeking a new world
That is, in this life, already
A decade plus time.

May God bless
The creator, for God knows
I do.

You knew it was coming…thank you, Ron.

I just wrote him a thank you note via e mail.

He'll probably see this first, though.

So let me sign this card too, please?

Thanks Ron.

I guess I was one who was put off by slight restrictions, and yes, I've had my troubles dealing with the "real" world. Some of us are hotheads even at this late date in life. No matter, I admire the creativity of the man who had a vision and saw it through.

I thank you too Ron, im fairly new here, but in the short time, ive really grown to love it. I look forward to reading others,
others reading mine, the feedback, that we all share a common desire, and basically a place to share my inner truth with others. Its really been a blessing
many thanks,

first, nice tribute...very thoughtful

second, this is a respite from the real world (as least for me it is)

third, I am sure it is obvious, but could you explain the title for the slower among us (me)

fourth, thanks to Ron for the privilege of this place...it certainly has been a nice place to land from time to time

The title is the number of PiP house guests [registered members] Ron's blue walls held on 4/2/11. When you go to the main forums page, it will show the number in the right hand corner.

Thanks, Steaven!

I was just thinking the same thing the other day (but not so beautifully put!) - thank you, Ron.  Pip is SUCH an important meeting place for us all to share each other's poetry and friendships.  Without trying to be nice, it really is the very best poetry forum that I have ever found.  Thank you, Karilea for the lovely thought and lovely poem.

I do too, Sunshine.  I give thanks for this community weekly.  I love so many that I have gotten to know as friends by becoming a part of PiP ~ and I have grown, as a woman and a woman who writes poetry.  I love it here.

Thank you, Ron.  Always thank you.

Thank you, dear Karilea, for celebrating this vast Poet Community! And THANK YOU, to dear Ron who made this possible.

My life has been immensely enriched by Pip and all the love and friendship I was showered with through it.
