Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2011-04-03 09:49 AM

My saving grace
a pillow scented
with you
A place to lay my face
and put my arm
that wants around you
I makeshift
my position
after our last kiss
goodnight
And in the morning
my sleepy head
feels you beside me
in bed...
just as I awaken to
a pillow scented
with you

Love the title / Love the words to the poem / Love it!

I guess I must be too thick but I get the blues out of this writing and I feel bad for you.
Makes me feel like you deserve more than the pillow.
Don't worry, I'm losing it I think.

Good writing all the same Lori.

Eric, I responded once and it got lost along the way...watch it show up now. thanks for your kind words as always. My hubby took a van load of his family to Wisconsin to see a loved one that is clinging to life by a thread day by day.  I'm so proud of him for being able to do this, but I am missing him badly...hence this poem and Ravish too by the way.

Ahhh, now it all makes sense.
You should be proud of him.

I think love and the longing always gives rise to poetry and you have done well to allow it to go ... walk-abouts.
