Art, and the Inexplicable

Most never realize
That art encompasses their world
Which most of us
Take for granted

The arch of a back, the art of a home
Not realizing they came from the round
Of a womb

Nor the stretch of a cervix
Let alone the wrap of
A blanket that holds new life close,

Security habitual.

None at first
See it as art; only life.

Those who speak for art
In all of its forms, seem
To see, and subject others
As if they conquer an uphill battle

When truthfully all we need say is
“Take off the blinders; smell deeply,
Feel sincerely, then Love,
Without remorse,
Those you would love.”

Then, and only then, will one be able
To give freely, to all…because we
Will never know where our seeds
Of giving
Might fall.

I sometimes worry myself to silence when I think about my seedlings.

Haha! Laughing at Serenity's comment.

As I was reading this inside my head I began to see a commercial on television with the blanket being folded securely around a smiling infant and the arch of an attractive back, never mind the home, thinking Normal Rockwell here. You took me on a nice ride as I watch the commercial unfold.

I love the contemplations abounding in these last words "Then, and only then, will one be able
To give freely, to all…because we
Will never know where our seeds
Of giving
Might fall."

...great inspiration for all of us to consider...nice, very nicely done

Thank you all. I love being inspired by others. And it's been a long while since I've been on my writing horse...it feels good to be back in the saddle!
