.

There’s a mist
On the lake this last
Of March morning

Ducks and geese
Have reappeared on shore
In still leafless branches
A crimson cardinal sings

A fish jumps up
Causing a ring
That slowly ripples
The pale blue water

A train sounds its horn
A church bell rings
Then again everything
Returns to silence

As it should
The sun shines
Clouds pass by

And I have no idea
What I’m to say

.

You have captured the moment. Enough said.
