Fog of Destiny

It crept in during the night
And it lingers this morning
Surrounding my brain
In thick wisps
Perfectly content to stay
And harass me
Curled comfortably
Into the crevices of my think tank

And not even gallons of Earl Gray
Can disperse it this day
Making this poem
Seem impossible to write
Making this tea cup
Seem impossible to hold
Making this day
Seem impossible to start

Marti,

You expressed this beautifully.  I have had those foggy mornings - and, as much as I love fog, I hate when it hits my brain.  Loving this this snowy morning.

Ah, switch to some good old Community Coffee Dark Roast, that's chase Destiny's fog outta there.

Enjoyed the poem. Been there. Done that.

~ OK, so what's the speed of dark? ~

Oh, my dear sweet Marti, this is so intense and poignant, may the fog dissolve and may the clear skies of your beautiful mind be victorious.

Love and hugs.

Seems all encompassing sometimes doesn't it?
You have captured the moment well.
Great job Marti!

I'll take my EG with just a touch of milk, not too strong, thanks.....smile...

This is very beautiful Marti, but there is an undercurrent, together with something you have said previously, that speaks of pain and that worries me.

JerryPat2 - thank for your reply and suggestion. Unfortunately, I do not care for coffee. I am strictly a tea drinker.

Margherita, my friend, thank you so much. Unfortunately, it comes with the territory and lately, it's been foggier than it has been in awhile.

However, I do have some energy today and managed to get a few things accomplished!!

Eric, yes, it does seem all encompassing and I don't like it! But, what's a person to do?

I ove my EG with milk (no cream) and a tad bit of sugar. It's the best.

Thanks for your kind comment.  ooxx  Marti

Ms. Owl, please don't worry. I have MS and brain fog is very common. Along with many other things but the fog and fatigue are the worst.

I am feeling much better today and love you for your concern. Thank you,   ooxx  Marti

Loved this Marti!  Gads, I think my head looks like that most of the time...Very well worded,
my friend and fits perfectly with the picture.

Yes, I know Marti.  That was what I was referring to.  I will try not to worry.  It seems unfair that I am so healthy.  I wish I could give you and a whole lot of others some of it each.

Owl, be grateful you are healthy. I am doing okay and as you can see I am at a point where I can actually write poetry. For a long time I couldn't. I may have MS, but MS doesn't have me!!

I am so grateful for my friends at PiP, a loving, kind and caring hubby, 3 great kids and 3 fantastic grandbabies!
