What is it,
this
everything,
that
keeps me
so
broken
and,
unfinished?

This lost
fraction,
of a
complete
that delineates,
who I
am.

A cork
to a
champagne
bottle
bursting,
to be
rend
asunder,
to be
dandled
and stroked,
spiraled
and unwound
till it’s
stretched
and plucked
popping,
into
the air
whitening,
the sky
releasing spumante
sparkling,
on your
expression a tingle,
titilated,
with
copius
flocks,
of melted
doves.

The castaway
key,
to a safe
I have
become,
pushing
into
the,
keyhole,
that
finally
fit
just right,
snug
and secure,
sleek fingers
on the
knob
turning,
but not
opening,
the door
to trestles
that lead
to her
safe
place,
that hang,
from
the
duskiness,
of
afterdark
and
once again.

This is,
my parcel,
of entity.

This, smell
of see,
and distance,
they
beckon,
in writhe
unwritten,
cuts
of meet
between
slices
of bred
on wry,
they hunger
and implore
us,
our mouths
together
biting
through
the sweet
spread
of
compression
that pushes
our parts
into merge,
plighting
our paths
into the
pledge,
of
unsaid
promise.

Lay,
on the
ground
with me
this night,
in our
far afields
removed,
you
on your
divergent side
of longitude,
fur to turf,
me, skin
to soil
both
face down,
as mosses
sweet
of you
beguiles
and uproots
sprouting
seedling,
of backwood
perrenial,
emanating
from the
northern
lucent
to your
bustling
aureolas
and radiant
nimbus
of halo,
through
clipped sweet
vines
into
thatch of
toothsome
pungency,
screaming,
in
scent azure,
ruptured
rapture
clandestine,
of drowning
verity,
below the
surface
of
mascara teared,
secrecy.

My lost,
our mislaid,
is strolling
in the
bewilderness
eternal,
hands in
pockets,
shivering
in
trail less
forrests,
through veils
of wayward
vanish
that once
wandered,
in the
wind,
that now
fate
and time
is trying
so
desparately
without
regard,
to
rescind.

I want to,
ascertain
you,
in the
mire
of our
betwixt,
as the
earth
devours
the invisible
touch
of our
aura
and pathos,
of our
understanding.

You are,
my
soul candy,
you are,
the heroine
that rushes
through
the capacious
vein
that towers,
through
the pleat,
of my
completeness.

Bye bye
bluejay,
sleep,
sweet baby
doll house
blues.

I am
the pacifieer
that soothes
you,
in the
dreams
of ever,
and
the wishes,
of
what if.

Thought provoking. I especially like the part about champagne and your description of uncorking it.
Can I have a glass of bubbly? LOL

Sorry about copy and pasting all that, but it speaks to me, tenderly...
and touches that soft place in heart.  Your writing always makes me feel so much.

You're such a wonderful poet Richy, and a dear man with a heart of gold.

After finishing the read I felt like beginning to read again, now isn't that a great reaction. Your poems are so rich in imagery and emotions, dear Richy.

Ah, the "what if" ending! That's something that keeps the thoughts flowing and twirling!

Great work!

Love,
Margherita

There is a lot of images here, but they tie together wonderfully. Enjoyed.

Richy, I can't remember what the term is for words that mean one thing and are used as another, but your metaphors here are intriguing because of the imaginative way you wield them in dreams and reality.

Intuition takes hold in this reading, and I feel the essence of reaching and looking up, although there is much that sings of touch and sensuality in this unique love poem.  I am fascinated in the spiral of words and emotion.

Thanks so much Lovely Lassy, basically I take a dictionary, rip out a few pages and put it in the blender. Whatever comes out, is mine...

Love your comments, thank you dearly.
