Euphoria drew you close and barred the door Held trembling hands to ease the first ensnare You’re waltzing empty skies and craving more Addiction lured you down to need his war His restless smoke brushed God in lieu of prayer Euphoria drew you close and barred the door Tense circles ‘neath your eyes compass his core Relinquished friends flow on behind their care You’re waltzing empty skies and craving more A paper chain of faces to adore Found hope inside your fearless vacant stare Euphoria drew you close and barred the door Palms groping towards the ceiling met the floor He built high walls and left you hollow there You’re waltzing empty skies and craving more And though our remedies claimed separate shores We wrote a stainless bridge above stale air Euphoria drew you close and barred the door You’re waltzing empty skies and craving more. |
