He's done it again;
The bruises all meld into one.
He said he was my friend
That he hates all the things that he's done

But it's alright; it's ok,
Maybe tomorrow, maybe today,
Maybe next week, maybe next year,
Maybe tomorrow I'll disappear

They're a wondrous disguise;
Those shades hide the pain in your eyes.
They work fine in the day
But at night does the pain go away?

It's alright; it's ok,
Maybe tomorrow, maybe today,
Maybe next week, maybe next year,
Maybe tomorrow I'll disappear

I'm sorry to write
But we found your daughter last night.
Some say she was brave
But why the hell didn't she leave.

It's not right, or ok,
Don't wait till tomorrow, leave him today,
Don't wait till next week, don't wait till next year,
Don't wait till tomorrow - I need you here.

(Refrain based on a song by Dan Mangan)

Ah, this compliments the poem I posted a few minutes ago. Don't know if "compliments" is the right word, but the two poems are related in a sense. Although I never was physical with Nanette, I hurt her other ways, and I've lived my days without her lost and very sad.

~ My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle. ~
