Solitude

Music: Garden of Tranquility by Daniel Donadi

Solitude
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

As petals fall in graceful decent
from the ancient cherry tree,
Loving memories of you
come cascading down.
My light within may have dimmed,
with your passing,
Yet, your eternal essence lives on,
~ blanketing me with your endless love,
until the day I draw,
my very last mortal breath.

~ * ~

In solitude, I sit ~ remembering.

I am not a great fan of musical background to recited poetry, but I AM  fan of good poetry and what I read here was good, from the heart, poetry.

Dear Linda, this can be for one single person, or, the horrible tragedy that is going on in Japan with the cherry blossoms and Asian woman in the picture.

Either way, it is so endearing and thoughtful of you, as always, in all your earth angel ways.

Such a compassionate write.

Bless you my friend.

And here I sit with you, united in spirit, connected through your loving voice reciting these compassionate poetic lines.

Dearest Linda, you are so intensely beautiful, through and through.

I love you.

No one does this like you do, Linda.  No one.  I love reading your poetry, but to have my senses surrounded is - well, it's that gift of you that I love so much.  I treasure every poem that you share with us - and I thank God that you are among us again.

I love you, Holler girl.

Alison ~ my beloved Lasky Girl ~

My goodness gracious! I'm literally blushing!
It's wonderful to hear how much my poetry put to music means to you! It gives me great joy finding the music and then fitting my poems into them. It can be a bit tricky and time-consuming but when the end result is appreciated like that, it's most definitely worth the effort.
I truly appreciate your appreciation!!!

Love you!
