PRAYERS FOR - IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER - COLIN, MASON AND MS BUTTONS
16 March 2011

Dear God,
there are so many special furr purrsons
in the world,
but right now
there are three
who so specially need Your loving gaze
and they need You to bless them
in their precious individual kittinesses -
Colin who is black and white and lives in Texas,
Mason who is grey striped with a white chest and lives in California,
and Ms Buttons who is black and white and lives in Pennsylvania,
but You know them all so well
and You have given them each
so many miracles
and adored these darlings
whom you have created
with such love and care
and most of all given them
to families
whom you knew
would love them and look after them
in the way they need the most
and who would love their families back
as much as they are loved.
Please hold these precious kitties in Your loving arms
and their humans too
and bring them all,
even more miracles
possible and impossible
and the best of everything ever.

Colin's human is sitting here with tears on her face, overwhelmed by your caring and compassion and so very glad Kate and Colin and I are blessed with your friendship! I know Mason and Ms Buttons and their families are just as grateful... Thank you!!!

Colin is an extraordinary cat and I celebrate the miracle of him and Kate in my life every day. I celebrate you, too... and hope you and Cleo and Benji are as happy with each other as my babes and I are. *S*

This is absolutely beautiful. I treasure it... and treasure you. *S*

Dear Colin’s human, Ruth, I am very heart-warmed by your beautiful response.  Thank you.  As I said, it is very simple, but very sincere.  I knew Kate would understand that she wasn’t in it this time, but she is in other prayers.

I celebrate having you and Colin and Kate as my friends too and treasure you all.  Cleo and Benji and I are a warm, happy family and we adore each other.  Flicka and Tigger and Daisy couldn’t have chosen better babies for me than these two darling ones they chose and sent me.

Ms. 'Buttons' Fur Purrrson and I thank you profoundly as well !!
[hopefully, there is some 'universal consciousness' cognizant of
our 'prayers' and that individual human and other consciousnesses
continue on beyond (and somewhere far better than) this 'mortal coil'?!]

Thank you, Owl for this lovely and sensitive poem. I am sorry I didn't respond sooner but I had to have Mason put down yesterday and it completely drained me physically and emotionally. I had Mason for 16 years. He was just a tiny kitten when his mother was killed and I adopted him. I guess there are people out there who would say he was "just a cat" but you and I know better. Thank you again.
                            Love, Ida

Sobbing for you and Mason, dear Ida.  I am so sorry.  As you know, I knew this was imminent, but it is still a terrible shock for me, and so very, very much more for you and Mason.  Being apart after all these years is harder than anyone can imagine who hasn’t been through it.  Tigger was an orphan kitten whom I got at 3½ weeks of age and he was 15½ years old when he went to Heaven on 26 October last year.  Please re-read (when you are able) everything in the email I sent you on 15 March to reassure yourself that Flicka and Tigger and Daisy will have welcomed him in Heaven and introduced him to everyone and linked him up with all your previous animals.  God will be giving him very special attention and all of them will be guiding him in becoming his Mommy’s Guardian Angel and teaching him how to send you reassuring messages of love and everybody (animally people and animals and God) will adore Mason.

Ida, I am torn up inside at your news and I know that nothing I say changes the devastation for you, but please, remember that if you ever want to talk to me about Mason, just email me.  I know nothing helps, but talking does ease the pain a tiny bit for a tiny while.  I also know that when you think the pain can’t get any worse, a huge big spurt of it comes and bowls you over again.

Just know that Mason’s love for you hasn’t stopped, nor will it ever, just as he knows that your love for him hasn’t stopped, nor won’t ever either.

Mason’s only concern will be his Mommy’s agony and aching for him, but he won’t ask you not to cry, because he knows that you need to, that it brings a tiny bit of physical relief of all the pent up emotions.  Know that he now knows more than any of us on Earth can know, and he is watching over you every nanosecond of forever more.

Hugs and tears

Oh, this brought tears and memories ... It takes dear Diana's voice and prayers to stir our souls into prayers of love.

Dear Ida, I am so sorry and send tender hugs. Mason will not leave you for real, he will come to you in dreams, like my beloved Mizar does still after 15 years of moving on.

Love and prayers.

Thank you, so much Margherita.  I am going to send this thread to Ida, in case she is too upset to come back in here again.  I know she will be heart-warmed by your message.

This poem really rings a bell with me. I am just back from India where I visited a sanctuary for abandoned dogs. Yes, animals need all our love. And you express this so beuatifully!

Thank you, Bastet, for your kind words to me, but even more for loving animals.  I can imagine how that visit must have torn at your heart-strings and how you must have wanted to take all those precious doggies as your own.
