i found a spider
in my bed
and stood afraid
full of dread
since i was tired
dressed for bed
i dropped a bean bag
on his head
and hoped for sleeps sake
he'd be dead

the spider in my bed
though a bit crippled
by the blow
moved in my direction
albeit the crawl was slow
but it didn't
stand a chance
with all my dogs
fighting for the prize
resulting in it's demise

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

Haha! I have a feeling Owl will be the only one sympathetic towards that damnable spider.

I don't think humans were meant to commune with spiders so if they intrude upon my territory then they do so at their own risk.  They have the big outdoors to claim as their own.  Just remember though that where there's one then there's another so ... look before you sleep.

Oh dear! Your poem makes me want to laugh ~ and cry at the same time!
I must admit, a spider is not a welcome bedfellow in my chamber either! lol

Kat-Thank you so much. This is a true story and my dogs were more than pleased when then saved me from it's clutches. LOL.

Owl-I swear I've never heard a soul call a spider a sweetie before.  Thanks for your comment though.  It's always nice having you drop by.

Helen-I agree with you 100%!  Yes, on everything you said about these crawly reatures.  Thanks for stopping by.

Earth Angel-Thank you for your wonderful remarks.  I really appreciate them.  I'm grateful the dogs were eager to catch the spider.

I enjoyed the poem I simply don't like those critters they scare me at times(thats what little kids get for watching horror movies on killer spiders at night)The poem was funny indeed.
