The wind whispers to me at night,
And that is when I like to write.
I love the Poeish atmosphere,
But at times there's something to fear.

The lull of the witching hour comes,
And my body has gone quite numb.
I wait for that raven to show,
I will kill it, the blasted crow.

Birds are...freaky. You, me, Poe, and Hitchcock know this. (My daughter too.)

*shivers*

There are only two things worse than a raven tap tap tapping at your window--those would be a drumken paramour and the flying palmetto bug. Not necessarily in that order.

Thanks for diverting me from the news just now. I'm getting a little seasick...sigh.

I have two pups...Poe & Twain.

Poe would have liked this one!

and yes, I read aloud to them!

But of course you read aloud to them. My pup Zoe waits eagerly for when I read to her. Speaking of Twain, did you ever read "Letters From The Earth?"
