(laughing)
It was her eyes
that first
grabbed me
as I floated
in an ocean
of tidings,
and blue.

Eyes
that I’d never even seen
before,
‘cept for the thoughts
they conveyed in
context
like little black
footprints
in the snow
purposely
trudging
to some unvarnished
forrest
of veracity,
and embrace.

Why is it
that no one else
has
the same eyes
as her?

Eyelashes
like quotation marks
that frame every
thought
of her gaze
and every wink
of her wit
as they raise
and lower
like soft curtains
of a one woman
show
of musicals
and
romantic
dramedies.

Pupils
that learn
by allowing
vision
to enter their
mind
and coalesce
with the
brilliance
of their
twinkle,
cleansed by
the liquid
lament
of heartache,
and regret.

Like two
lighthouse
beacons
that glitter
in the night
they set firm
and foxy
aloft rosy
moulin mounds
of rouge
and pinch
cheeky
satin
swirling
atop
an elegant
nose that
crinkles cute
and flares
when sassed
or saucy,
tickled,
or kissed
with lips
that fall
quietly
onto the
muffled
whispers,
of his name
from her
mouth,
moist
and wanting.

Each letter,
of every
word
that I press down
is just another
thrust
from my
fingers
through your
hair,
another
gentle stroke
of my hand
against
your face,
one more
plunge
of my
premise,
enduring
for you
to draw
unyielding,
into the
corner
of
your
clenched
devotion.

You are,
my naked truth
of the bare
sun
and leafless
moon,
that we’ve
become.

Ever chasing,
ever apart,
till the final
endearment,
of our eclipse.

So very beautiful, dear Richy. Was reading through some poems from earlier in the year and found you here in this exquisite "Eclipse".

Now don't eclipse yourself for too long, please, Poet!

Love,
Margherita
