explain it, I cannot
but I do know how to say it
say it, I cannot
but I do know how to feel it

feel it, I cannot
but I do know how to show it
show it, I cannot
but I do know how to share it

share it, I cannot
but I do know how to explain it
explain it, I cannot
but I do know how to cry

and so I do
and so, I do

In other words you can't get there from here.

yes sir, wherever the 'here' or 'there' may be (they are, after all, only a 't' apart)

Hugging you friend, hang in there, things will get better.

Enjoyed the writing.

A frustration written for the emotions of a poet trying to explain the frustration of emotions.

So I too do.

Loved it!

to everyone...first, my apologies...didn't mean for this to come across as so dark...don't really have time right now to answer everyone (will later today)... I am so OK that I often feel guilty about it ...smiles, and lots of 'em

Blues, wow...3 wows...I am honored...thank you

Eric, you do so get it.  Thank you for the kind comments.

passing, then you are truly blessed.     or you’ve lost your memory.  smiles

thank you spiros for reading and commenting...I appreciate it

Faith, thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.  Here’s hoping the sadness is only a shadow at the end of the day.

Richy, are you out of your room again...and who let you out?

sometimes I think I've lost my memory because of all that alcohol but no, I am blessed indeed, for always being able to express myself, at times on an even deeper level than I realized...and for expressing what others could not for themselves.

So if I died tonight, I'd go with a smile on my face, just for simple reasons like this.
