          Reflections of Serenity

Some of the finest of things lie long
  quite small and quietly,
unnoticed beside this frozen stream
of strong and deeply hidden currents
on the soft-gentle edge of Spring.

Enlightenment lies in understanding
when and how often nothing need be said
in the conscious celebration of silence
or by simply being life’s bright mirror to others.
What shall be the final words ever spoken?

Oh, Enlightened One, you are one who truly understands. Some of our most serene moments are when we are communing with Nature in companionable silence.

You have such a soft poetic voice,
and your sentiments are always so endearing.

A tender and timely piece, dreampoet~

Many thanks to each of you for your most pleasant comments pursuant to this 'penning' ...

Linda, it is especially grand-fine to see that you are once again traversing the fine blue
sands of 'P.I.P.-land' by the cyber-sea ... and gracing these environs with your words
and wisdom!

Bruce, I know I have said this several times before about other poems of yours, but this is my favourite of all your poems, so far.  It is full of a new acceptance and positivity and hope, and I don't know how you will ever better this one.  It is so exquisitely beautiful, and part of its beauty is the truth and strength it exudes. I absolutely love the question you leave us with, and I have been pondering its answer ever since, and enjoying the pondering.

I read the poem several times over for the serenity I need right now (have so much work to do in so little time, and was getting a little panicky).  Thank you for this gem.
