A New Day Is Dawning
by Linda L. Dowd

As the darkness of night gives way
to the rise of a glorious sun,
~ Welcome the gold, dawning light
for another new day has begun.

Slide down shimmering rainbows.
Be a sunflower kissing blue sky.
Inhale morning air and sunshine.
Be a seagull flying on high.

Listen to the rushing of rivers.
Sing cheerily along with the birds.
Cradle a newly-born kitten.
Speak softly with kind, tender words.

Embrace each day with passion.
Be all that you dare dream to be.
Be one with Life’s ebb and flowing.
Be a branch on the wise Knowledge Tree.

Romp through lavender fields.
Taste Concords plucked right off the vine.
Behold the splendor of sunsets.
Sip freely of Life’s heady wine.

Be cleansed by a fall’s cooling waters.
Inhale the sweet scent of a flower.
Walk barefoot on soft, dewy grass.
Rejoice in the gift of each hour.

As the darkness of night gives way
to the rise of morn’s glorious sun,
~ Welcome the gold dawning light
for another new day has begun.

Dear Linda,

What a beautiful gift to come home to.  I know you know we love you - but do you know how much we have missed you?  Your poetry is like that ray of sun coming out of a thunder shower.  I just run to it.

I love you, my friend.

I love you, Linda.  Came back to read again - you touch me so deeply.  I never liked the show Touched by an Angel  - until I was.

I am crying happy tears, and those of unadulerated admiration for your spirit which could melt an army.  Hey!  Just had an idea!  Why don't they get Gadaffi and Mugabe to visit you so that you can save their countries from their horrible leadership!  I wouldn't expect you to go there as you need to rest. They could come to you.  Then you could save the WHOLE world, instead of just half of it!

It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lovely to see you in here and with a BRAND NEW POEM and such a STUNNER of a poem too!   You are an inspiration to all who meet you.

Very gentle hugs wherever it doesn't hurt (YIPPPEEEE!  Linda is BACK! - but you need to rest a lot and only come into Pip as a reward for being a good girl!)

Lots and lots of love and light and POWERPUNCH prayers

Hadn't listened to the voice recording and music at the time of my last reply as I was so eager to read and reply.  Have now.  It was so lovely to hear your beautiful, soft voice with its lovely Canadian accent, again.

I have just now finished talking to you, sweet Linda, and it felt so good to stay close in this way for a while, but my heart is heavy because you are still struggling so much to get better.
I wish we lived closer, so that we could meet and have tea together and boost hope and courage, when tiredness and weakness take over.

You know we love you ...
Tender hugs and blessings, my Angelo Terrestre.
I love you.

I float into weightlessness listening to your reading and the natural cadence in this poem, Linda.  It holds the essence of light even on a cloudy day, like the one we are having here at the moment, and flows through my mind like a brook in a meadow! Music of the heart. I am missing you, Angel, and will be in touch.  Love, Karen

Lovely, Lovely message in your poetry.
