swaying

all day the snow falls
the silence is deafening
trees follow the wind

I love the quiet of snow falling; it's a special music to me.  And I love the wind, but I hate when the wind blows all the snow off the branches.  Maybe it helps out the branches by relieving them of weight - but hey!  The wind could be a friend and blow some weight of me too!  Ya know!

Wonderful, dear Marti. I could drown in that snowy silence ... I become deaf to "turbulences" and just enjoy BEING.

Love,
Margherita

Alison, yesterday was a beautiful, quiet day although the wind was definitely howling. But it didn't seem to bother me like it usually does.  I actually enjoyed watching it snow and listening to the sounds of the wind with some soft music playing and a fire in the fireplace. I had a hot cup of tea and our Lily dog snuggling beside me on the couch.

Jackal,  living in NH, it has been a long, snowy winter and I too am tired of it. I look forward to Spring. But, I like you, have to admit that it was a beautiful day yesterday!

Margherita, there is no question that yesterday was just a "being" day. I loved every second of it!

Isn't wonderful how we understand how the silence can be deafening....
Good writing and the pic's very fitting.

Nicely penned. I can hear that silence roaring inside my head.

Marti, I loved reading your exquisite poem and looking at your photo and just drinking in the ambiance of a world unknown to me, except through you and other Pipsters.  I enjoyed all of the replies too in their delicious diversity.

Hugs to you and Lily-doggy
