SMILES
25 February 2011

What happy-heart bliss it was,
on this rough-edged night,
to meander through
a daytime garden of flowers,
in unhurried contentment,
stopping here
and there
to meet with friends
of forget-me-not yesteryears
and snap-dragon todays
and primula tomorrows,
touching harmony
with honoured fingers,
and wrapping friendship
and encouragement
around me like a cloak,
offering solace to heart-aches
and celebrating delights
and being soft-graced
by the gift of heart-core vulnerabilities
of those so real and warm and alive
behind their cyberfaces,
that I could turn around
and find them smiling in wonder
at the splash of colour
and the sweet, sweet fragrances
in this blue-page garden
and know each one's name.

Thank you, Spiros, and for being one of those friends.  I had no Internet connection for 3 or 4 days and so it was lovely to be able to get back into Pip.

Ida, I am so glad you are a part of my garden of friends, too.

You do KNOW the warmth of friendship, dear Diana, and you express its value so very beautifully.

Love,

Thank you for the heart-warming message, and for the wonderful friendship of Margherita and the perfect gift of the margheritas which are, of course, daisies, a symbol of my Daisy dog in Heaven!
