Time moves with my heartbeat,
slowly and calmly, in tune
with my changing season mind.
Seldom quickening, days drift drear,
until love weekends flare our
vivid colours onto monochrome mundanity.
Each hour, a clock tick
to weld us to a
future, golden as glistering sunlit
sea swells, time in a bottle.

Friendship is Love without his wings. Lord Byron.

fine imagery ...

I am particularly fond of the beginning of this 'penning' !:

"Time moves with my heartbeat,
  slowly and calmly, in tune
  with my changing season mind.
  Seldom quickening, days drift drear..."

May your 'changing season mind' dance
with grand-scintillating thoughts of Spring !

Mmmn...my favourite is
"Each hour, a clock tick
to weld us to a
future, golden as glistering sunlit
sea swells, time in a bottle."

Full of the promise of precious hours spent in a loved ones company.Like this very much.

Has a sweet yet forlorn feel in its universal tone of trying to hold onto a beautiful moment in time

You poetry is rhythmic, a nice and slow rhythm that is easy to read. The premise isn't bad either.

Golden dreams,
stored in a bottle,
lay asleep,

For the kiss of an awakening...

Time moves on,
yet stays the same,
hearts continue to beat,

tattooed with a written name.

I loved this:

"Seldom quickening, days drift drear,
until love weekends flare our
vivid colours onto monochrome mundanity" ...nice, very nice

What a pleasant surprise! It seems like ages since I have had the privilege of reading a poem by our illustrious Rose of Gold!

Those vivid colours glistening in the sun are worth enduring the "monochrome mundanity" of most days during the week!

Enjoy your colourful, love-filled weekends!

Warm welcome-back hug,
Linda

Phil, it is always good to stop and read your poetry.  It's beautiful and gives me a second to pause and simply "enjoy".

Thank you and please don't be gone so long.
Alison
