should the moon
retreat forever
behind a darkened sky
and all the stars
fall earthbound
without their
twinkling light
if the sun should
cease to rise
the clouds go
their separate ways
and all the birds
no longer soar
i still will
not forget you
for, in all truth
i am forever yours

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

Faith I really like where you went with this
Reminds me of an E. E. Cummings poem. This would make a great valentine card.

I'm inclined to think that "forever" is just as long as we need it to be but it's a great sentiment that you've expressed so very well in your poem.
