I teach, therefore I am
        concerned with carelessness
I teach, therefore I am
        troubled with turmoil

I teach, therefore I am
        disturbed by distrust
I teach, therefore I am
        disquieted by disharmony

I teach, therefore I am
        bothered by belittling
I teach, therefore I am
        upset by usurpation

I teach, therefore I am
        saddened by settling
I teach, therefore I am
        disheartened by disdain

I teach, therefore I am
        surrounded by those who seek
I teach, therefore I am
        accountable to all who attempt

But especially to those who can't or won't or don't
        even try

I teach, therefore I am

A very powerful piece you've written here, Steaven.  It's so profound!  I love it!

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

I like this. You are a teacher that I would be proud to have as one of mine.  Thank you for sharing, my friend.

Steaven! This is so so right on. I work in a classroom with highschool students that are at highrisk for dropping out and your concerns are absolutely the right concerns. thank you so much for voicing them.
