I never look you in your eye because I am scared you'll see what really hides within my past that darkens the soul of me
I show you just what needs to shine to keep us moving on...I fool myself not only you by hiding all my wrongs
If I could trust you with my faults and look you in the eye..you may could help my lonely heart and rid my life of lies.

It would take a lot of courage to take that chance.
However, if it's true love, then it should work for better or worse.

don't be afraid to show what you feel of think you need to hide, should be accepted for who you are and anything less is not good enough.

Hope the poet can find such a trust - just remember that he or she will have to help he or she in return, too, not always the easiest thing to do!
