CURTAIN FOLDS
18 February 2011

It’s strange, isn’t it,
how the curtain folds
hang differently
every time they are drawn?

I wish I could paint them the way they hang tonight.

A short but somehow very deep and interesting poem. It's an art to paint a picture in so few words.

Thank you, Bastet, a poet of great note, for your kind words.

I have just drunk of the vanilla latté you made for us - and ohhhh!  how it slithered down my throat with eye-closing pleasure!  It is good to know that there are others who think that way - though I could never have expressed it so beautifully.

I think being so "tuned in" is what makes a great poet, Diana.

Isn't that the truth, Owl. So many think in life need to be painted as they are in all their glory and steadfastness and realism, before life reaches them and tarnishes the effect.

What a great thought.  You got me thinking and peering closely at my curtains.

hello Owl, a very short and surprising poem, a world in the curtains and a beautiful painting.

I would say that you've done a very nice job of painting those folds in this very provocative write...nicely done
