Fair to middlin' of nowhere

In the swallow of sleep
from the belly
of my dreams
you appear wordlessly
just out of reach
beckoning  me closer
to taste your vision

Dancing round my fire
I can not
escape the distance
of its light and warmth
to reach you

I show you
sultry seduction
come ons
All but beg
Come to me
Come to me

From your enticing position
flipping a coin with a wink
you take my face
in your magic hands
and ever so slowly
kiss me awake
in a sweat

this is a very interesting poem...the imagery is so vivid...another gem, Lori

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

Whoa! Whadda dream. Don't you just hate it when you have to wake up clutching the pillow instead of . . .

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

I was captivated by your opening line (especially your use of the word 'swallow'), but it was your closing that made me stop and want to re-read it as soon as possible (and made me blush a little, too.)
