There's a carnival
on the transom---they could have
meant the Internet.

Sadness calls through every
waking pore of the spectrum.

I recognise the haiku
but the relation to the last two line
seems detatched in meaning
I probably just don't understand

Just another visit to say that piptalk is back on top at Google today... and that the ransom referred to was paid a long time ago now, and subsequent internment has been counter-productive.

Also... I wasn't even imagining it that way in filtering consciousness at the time, but the line does bring to mind a darkly humorous scene from some hypothetical spaghetti western, doesn't it?
