My mother liked the smell of the honeysuckle,
This wild and rare, white and ideal flower
Which grows only near certain persons,
The one who are good-hearted or have a fatal sweetness.

I understands now why
We liked its quiet perfume of noons,
This flower offers what is the best there,
the most delicious intoxicating and delicious,

This perfume frees from any contingency,
Of the past and the too dense passions,
It is a journey, a pleasure to love
A dream which everybody can acquire

If he is lucky enough, has time and a nose,
If he lets his soul penetrate into the flower
Making of this moment the highest sweetness,
To love his mother will never be an error.

Enjoyed
I have lots of Honeysuckle around
not sure what that means
but when blooming
it's soothing

Lovely, Yann! Soothing and as beautiful as the flower and its perfume.  There was a honeysuckle hedge around the garden of my childhood home.  I can see it still, and smell its sweet perfume.  Your poem took me back to happy days of playing in the garden and climbing my favourite tree.  Thank you.
