Listening to every heart

Valentine’s Song

Easily shattered
Fragile as a dove’s white wings
Yet trust, forthcoming
For such is hope’s slender limb
Holding to such faith as this
Life, so delicate
Yet resounds in reddest breast
With such a sweet song
Turn away not, harbingers
Return to faith on spring’s wind
Such is winter’s last folly
Fulsome play of heart
Giving take of sprites
Playing the season so well
Giving spring thus its heart beat
Easily shattered,
Even Red’s fragility
Stood the coldest test
To see him as Valentine
For he sings to one true love

Wonderful and expressive thoughts here, Sunshine, concerning the life cycle of seasons and the living things which survive. The thought of valentine and love in the air urges the most fragile to hearken to a distant land called spring. Nice. I liked this'n.

Just yesterday I saw my first cardinal of the season perched on the branch of my poplar tree.

Lovely as always~~

I hopr you are not saying that Valentine's Day is for the birds!!

No, of course you're not, and what you are saying is sweeter than a bird's song, announcing Spring. May you have a wonderful day, Sunshine

I'm glad you liked it. (When Linda hits that one long note, my "girls" salute!)
