Dear Bramble, Dear Braid,

The floorboards hold daisychains,
birdseed, psalms,
and I've learned at last,
how to map the sequence,

deduce that to run is to whip is to tear,
multiplied by the number of stairs
it takes to reach the attic,

subtract the length of satin
in this old nightgown,
and the width of my shoulders,

to divide the number of days
I've worn bluebirds in my hair,
admonish the long absences

and the dark laughter,
trailing after the long fox coat,
and the loose frocks, OH

and that box I've kept
with rope and a compass,
buried beneath the porch,

along with a quart of bluemilk,
for brewing custard
in the sweet hereafter.

Was fairly lost in this, Belle, but it was a good place to be lost in - enjoyed the stream of consciousness and the thread that was a little more apparent on subsequent readings.  Enjoyed the fun mathematics that is and isn't.  Particularly enjoyed the freedom that sings throughout.

Surrealistic, easy to read and to allow the mind to delve inside of itself, pushing forward and grin at the daisy chain.

Your poetry is alive, you capture so much detail, and paint your words with pictures.

Always a special treat from you, bella~

Excellent writing. I'm afraid it's beyond me. However, Pavarotti could bring a tear to my eye and I didn't understand a word.

I really enjoyed the classy quality of this piece.
