She taunts the old man,
It haunts the old man,
She does it because she can.
Stopping to flirt
In her mini-skirt
Coming by out of her way,
It’s just another bit of play
For her.

The door stays closed today,
Thoughts return to this old man.

If I were younger
Sigh,
But I’m decades older
Sigh.

Boy or boy, do I ever relate to THIS one, graying1. Still, that is why I go to the mall so often, to observe the pretties. Can't wait until spring.

nice little slice of life...wonderfully worded and keenly written

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

What a great little snap shot.  There is a gal where I work who is 22 and gorgeous, with her jet black hair and perfect figure.  She eats reeses pieces all day and never gains a pound.  The kind of gal you want to hate, but gawd I love her, she is truly one of sweetest young ladies I've ever met.

Hmmm, I think I remember being that age...wait????

Welcome to the blue sea, graying1. Glad to see you jumping in and making a splash.

Such a fun, poem!!!

And just what do you think
graying old ladies want to watch,
hey?

Me? I'd prefer a graying old man
who still had a twinkle for

...

knowledge.

But, that's me!

I am pleased so at so many responses
And somewhat overwhelmed
I’ve never been good with words, numbers are more my thing.

Jerry, I don’t go to the mall much
Not really a people person, but when I do the spring time is best
For the watching

Belle, your enjoyment is mine

Lori, not dead, but not chasing either
Not sure I want to catch anyone
I would prefer gentle conversation

Faith, Thank you, I am trying

Blue, Not sure how sweet she is, haven’t talked much to her
I find myself tongue-tied, which she probably finds amusing

Sunshine, you sound like my type of gal
(hope you don’t mind that term)
Books are my main friend these days
Now that I am dogless.

Thanks again to all you responders
