When the first man
and woman
stopped holding
hands,
they invented,
independance.

When you’re alone
now
with seven billion people
in the world,
that is called
anguish to most
and a life
not meant to be,
to others
still.

That fine line
between
living on earth
and living
in a grave,
has always
simply,
been love.

And always
will.

Why is it with you,
I can walk through
doors
that weren’t even
there,
before?

Or climb a
hill
that earlier still
blocked my
voyage
on the ocean
of forthcoming.

I’m tired of my poems
leaking
from the cracks
of my heart
and dying on
concrete creeks
on the edges
of hobbled
roads.

Instead,
I want to
just pour them
into you,
until your body
shudders
in spasm
and finally
releases
its grip,
the color of
our skin
melding in blush,
the full moon
aglow
beneath,
your slip.

Every poem
I ever wrote
has been
carved
on my face
with the sunrise
of mourning,
and the knives
of winsome
leaving their,
trace.

Their in the pucker
of my smile
and in the furrowed
canyons
of my brow,
their in every facet
of my eyes,
that you see
in disguise,
each color
a new hope,
a new heaven less
gate
of sorrow,
and sigh.

You can even
read them
in the dark
if your lips
hug mine,
and feel the
ocean,
soft and blue.

And taste the
world
that holds inside,
and waits
forever
just,
for you.

...there are a lot of good lines in this one, but I think my favorite ones were these:

"That fine line
between
living on earth
and living
in a grave,
has always
simply,
been love."

...that was a read-over for me...nice

This made me cry.  It's beautiful and so very sad because, you know (of course you know) there are so many people in this world "waiting".  You have penned that waiting exceptionally well.  OK - now I can't see anymore.

Oh gosh, why did you have to go and say something like that, now I don't know what to say...

If only words alone could describe their true meaning.

Thank you Lori! You're the bestetest!

(I just made that up, it means better, than the best!)

So, so true. I continue to find your words enjoyable, and something about them touch a place I haven't looked at in years. Please don't disappear into the fog yet

Haha Nareena, you make me smile... that is what we are alive for, to whisper to each other's heart and then disappear like the twinkling of a wind chime on a boat in the mist...

there are a few here that have left us forever, but they have never gone away.

And neither will you.

Thank you dearheart.
