There must be reason

For the longest time
I haven't forget
His hands on my neck

Everyone else has

Now I'm just crazy
While I gaze down
Waiting to implode
Into the hollow
Far beneath my feet

I plaster over
The pits and valleys
Like a soft whisper
In a lover's ear

Even if time heals
I wish at a distance
I could just be young
Without the iron chain
Of fear and loathing

What's so amazing about really deep thoughts " Silent all these Years, Tori Amos

Aww the angst of it all!
Your poem has a quiet underlying
sadness that pulls the reader in.

Hard not feel this one.

Nice writing, Juju~

This is an awesome poem. I could feel the pain in these words you wrote. I truly enjoyed the read!!!

I know of a person that could have written this poem. I wonder if she still remembers. I pretty much saved her from bad harm that night. Vergie, I miss you and hope life has been good to you.

The depth of the effect is so very well expressed here. Everyone else has forgotten except the victim.
Excellent writing!

Of course there must be reason... and justice... and there will be, eventually far beyond what this little world can provide.

However---and I have thought about this a little---what the victim needs once physical scars have healed their best is an emotional pick-me-up, such as truly rewarded unreasonable infatuation, sometimes called "love."

A good write on a painful subject, and in that context good to read.
