caveat emptor
he wrote with common ease
for both writer and the reader knew
his work would never please

carpe diem
he penned with poet-sense
for readers who knew best would
heed without pretense

carpe noctum
he inscribed with careful versing
for seizing is not for light alone
well worth such fine rehearsing

cave laboreum
he engraved quite effortlessly
for poet-ting was by far the best
of all ways found for labor bewaring

so, if you've ever cause to wonder
why this tongue has fared so well
just remember these warnings as sent from heaven
while the world has gone to...english

I know just enough Latin to be dangerous. The same could be said of my English. Your's was an enjoyable read.
