I always wondered how it would be
if I could walk on water
How I would run across the distant sea
Where the wind will make me totter

Was the smooth surface as soft as a cotton sheet?
Or as rough as a horses fodder
Will the fish below dart beneath my feet
oh if I could walk on water

I want to touch the clouds
that float upon the bay
And laugh out loud, and twirl around
as I splash and play

A single drop of sparkling rain
Causes ripples to flow to the far off shore
The wave that stakes a valient claim
that whispers of something more

The hot sun starts to take its tole
as I cross and glide
And I hope with all my heart and soul
You'll be waiting for me on the other side.
