often…I find myself in thought-showers
and often…I cannot explain
the memories than meander
through the corridors of forgetfulness

often…I shudder in the wintry winds of solitude
and often…I cannot refrain
from caring if I can concur
whether things that are were really so

often…I traipse through soft-lit fissures of solace
and often…I cannot detain
the soul-chains that bind my heart
like the tethers of a slave fast-bound

often…I wander down the pathway of selfishness
and often…I find again the pain
that faces off in silent paces
like enemies in raging anger duel

often…I sit alone…knowing
that often… I am

Somewhat existentialist in its makeup is this one, steavenr. A great many question and observations to finally, in the end, come to the conclusion that you are alone.

A beautiful Steaven-poem!  I read it twice because I couldn't let it go.  Thinking, for me, is an exciting past-time.  I have written a poem called Thinking.  It isn't anything like this beautiful one.  Mine is jagged and raw, but I will post it soon.  It is probably a repost.

Faith, you are always overly kind...this time is no exception...thank you so much

Jerry, keen observation...I think this is my take on "I think, therefore I am" ...thanks for the candid comments

Owl, thank you...I certainly appreciate that...will definitely be looking forward to reading that
