Her hair of golden silk meets her skin of ivory
Her lips of cherry red, stretches into a lazy smile
As she drinks another sip of wine
Swirling the delicious liquid inside her mouth

She reflects on the day and laughs out loud
Too bad he never saw it coming, he never had a clue
She stares down at her perfectly manicured nails
Never breaking a sweat, and she still accomplished so much

She can hear the clock on the wall
As the minutes and seconds continue to tick on by
She walks over to her window that is partially open
Staring down at the street below, from the 80th story

The wind is blowing lightly, her dress slightly stirring
She can barely make out the cars below, looks like a ghost town at this time of the night
The moon is hanging high in the sky
It glows so bright, appearing to grow bigger and then smaller

Her cell phone rings, she looks down at the bright screen to see who it is
It is him, of course it is...he wants to talk to her
He leaves a frantic message to call him immediately
Again she laughs, didn't he know she would get her revenge

She sits back down on the bed, takes another sip of her wine
Placing the call on her cell, she hears him answer hello almost screaming it
"Hello Drake" she breathes into the phone
"Angelica" where are you? He demands to know her whereabouts

She laughs again, this time a tear or two escapes her eye
He tells her she will never escape him
She knows in her heart he is right
Hanging up the phone, she closes her eyes, and drifts to sleep

Well that's quite a story poem Amy. I enjoyed the read as it entertained me all the way through.
Took a twist that I didn't see coming but that's really the theatre of this piece.

Good work!!
