Between Gone and Present

I didn't want to admit
That my heart
Had become demystified
Yet again.

I may be naked to you
Soaked through with
Invulnerability
In crumbles

I have my secrets as well

Just like you
They're pillars of denial
Holding up.

THIS is good. When we think of what has come between us it is good to not allow ourselves to wallow in self pity. You wrote a kickass poem of misdirection. Impressive.

Amazing how the inner gaurd goes up.
Pillars of denial indeed.
I understand and this is so concise but so well written with economy of words.

Excellent--this is personal but with enough distance for an objective glance.

Amy thing more would have been too much.

And any think less would ha been dangerously close to that deliberately ambiguous mess that is the paint that traps me into my own corners.

Nicely done, Juju.

Beautiful, as always, Juju, and one of your best, in my humble opinon.  I especially love the melancholy, but captivating title.  Recognising one is in denial, is the first step to conquer it.
