She took her hair underneath the closet
Where she could hold her secrets
Between the day of morning

Her small inner jeans, caved a bit
Sort of let go of her skin
Like the way her eyes use
To fade as the night gave way
To a merlot underneath the tempered lights
Of her living room floor

Once the day was gone
She remembered how her mother
Use to comb her hair
Stroke after stroke
Until midnight approached

She sat on her lap
until her eyes let go
to her hair underneath the closet

Her secrets spread throughout
the hardwood floors of her empty home.

Tomer, I am mesmerised by this - don't understand this one either, but perhaps we aren't meant to.  Exquisite, exquisite, Tomer - I don't think I have every used that word twice in a row in my life.

Owl, I appreciate the kind words, truly.  I'm happy you enjoyed.  Poems are best open to interpretation.  Take care

Cheers

I particularly enjoy reading a poem which the poet wants to be open to interpretation - and this was certainly no exception.
