and I was torn
between the land
and the unknown world
we call the ocean
both hold such beauty
sustaining life within
and I lingered where
both worlds were parallel
the ocean offering such
a gentle cultivating cradle
making me weightless
welcoming me to the depths
and the earth painted such
a lovely canvas, with a rainbow
of hues, bekoning me to venture
But I was torn, between two worlds
not really falling, and just barely floating
and so I lingered there, at the surface.

written with such eloquence and artistry...the words you selected  match the picture perfectly...this really is brilliant

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

s1nfully_1nn0c3nt - Poets often find themselves lingering between worlds just at the surface, between yesterday and tomorrow, between what is below and what is envisioned above. This was poignant. I much enjoyed. Namyh

The surface, yep, you're so right.
I think this is simply a wonderful insightful aspect of speculation.

Great work Trina!!
