Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Blandness
Barricades the abyss
Bartered joyous white
For protection from
The hopeless black

Demons still dance
Outside the sacred circle
Of ash and salt
My island
Of gray

Caruso kept alive
Survived
Sans civilization
Price of admission
Memories
Ghosts of convenient amenities

Gratitude
Stable attitude
Chemically balanced
Gray matter
Still pineing
For my white high

Gray is a color to either build on or destroy. If we build on it it becomes a Perfect Storm, if we destroy it the sun will shine though.

Jerry I never really thought of it that way, you make a good point.  This poem is my lamenting the effects of anti depressants. Thanks for checking this one out.
