Hobbes the Cat
April 1992 - August 2008

Hobbes the cat got put down today
to end his suffering
But a good and happy life
he did lead

He was the most human friendly
of all our 5 cats
He would lick your face
and curl up beside you to sleep

Hobbes would also play fetch
and check on you when you
were laid up in bed sick
He was a very loving cat indeed

Yes he had his bad traits
But put that aside
and remember the good times
when he was not in trouble at all

At least I got the pictures
to remember Hobbes by
when he was healthy
and free from sickness

Bye Bye my precious Hobbes
You will be loved and remembered
forever in our hearts
Rest in peace

so sad to hear the news...you have written a beautiful tribute to your kitty and yes, they do remain in our hearts forever...they are that special.

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

Thank you for your comment. This is one of the 3 I lost in a 11 month period of time. He was our cassanova of the kitty world. LOL

you are most welcome...it it so diffifult to lose just one pet but to lose three in such a short time must have been horrible...thank you for sharing your lovely kitty poems

I mentioned to you before, Julie, how I cannot begin to imagine how you coped with losing Hobbes, Casey and Shelbie in the same year. Hugs, Julie. Hobbes, you are beautiful and I can see the kindness shining out of your eyes. Mommy and you were very lucky to have each other and Casey and Shelby. Kisses on your beautiful nose. You, Casey and Shelbie have your photographs in Auntie Di’s “Animals – not mine or my family’s animals” folder – in the Cats sub-folder.
