you posed mostly nude within your eye skins
and then covered everything but those glances
like a girl with new ribbons without wrinkles
wanting to use them for something very special

I teased you about your caution tape boundry
and how you stood on your toes to be obvious
like the attention was all you wanted really
without fingerprints that might linger there

you said nu-uh and scurried up a pretending tree
leaving your nonchalant to dangle down like a rope
maybe wondering if I would tug you to the ground
or climb upward using it to move much closer

or perhaps your skin covered something more fragile

"like the attention was all you wanted really

sometimes that is all one needs to feel "alive"  and yet sometimes, that could be just the beginnings~~

love your titles, D

I have come to appreciate your poetry, DS. You have a knack (I lost my knack and am searching for it) for subterfuge within the lines, which is delightful.

Dark
I gotta tell ya, I just love your writing.
It always makes me smile and that has to be a good thing.

This is just superb..

Your title, that was Scott MacKenzie wasn't it?
Whew, long time ago but I loved that song and how you played off it.

It takes a real gift to compose a line like, "like a girl with new ribbons without wrinkles" and I applaud you poet.

Namaste~

Not only are you an outstanding Poet, but an extremely gifted psychologist too. The mixture is explosive.
