TONIGHT
November 1999

Tonight my wide African sky
whispered its greeting to me
in an artist’s palette of multitudinous blues and greys;
and infinity ebbed into
my breathing,
my thinking,
my being,
like the serene voices of monks at evensong;
and the clouds carried my reply
to my brother,
the sky.

It must be a beautiful night sky, Diana

I love the indiginous feel of this...to me it expresses the spirit of many native cultures...something that is lost in modern society.  Very much enjoyed.

Beautifully rendered, Owl. To give your thoughts to the heavens above is tantamount to bliss incarnate.

Thank you, Maureen.  Perhaps African sunsets are no different to anywhere else, but it feels to me as though they are.

Thank you, Lori.  There are so many people for whom Africa won’t ever be more than a magical dream.  There are others who live on the continent of Africa, but for whom it could just as well be anywhere else.  I am so very lucky as I have the best of both – I live on the continent of Africa, and I am constantly aware of its magic.

Thank you, Jerry for your kind words.  Your exquisite reply is a poem in itself and a mystical truth.

It is a true gift be able to appreciate your world the way you do and  to be gifted enough to share your enthusiasm with others,
