slow days fill with shameless repartee
wandering through cloud-circles of regret
two-steps take three or even more
as love buds softly in its bloom

welcoming image-dust shaken from steps
that whisk the webs that cob the way away
painting the past with sunshine divine
as love buds softly in its bloom

dance steps flow with brazen badinage
drifting along riverbeds of compunction
pirouettes pair themselves with purity
as love buds softly in its bloom

and the twirling twain become a single one
flowering spring-sprinkle sparks…just for fun

Yep. I agree with Rex. When read aloud the words become magical.

Trina, thank you for finding this simple write worth writing about

Rex & JerryP, I am glad you enjoyed it by reading it aloud…I always do (read everything aloud), but that’s how I enjoy poetry best…thank you

An intricate, sensitive, fresh, passionate pas-de-deux!  Beautiful!

Nodding in agreeing with Rex, Jerry and Steaven - mot to read poetry, especially this poem, aloud, is to lose so much of it beauty and impact.

I loved the imagery and the flow of this piece. I felt like I was dancing as I read each word.
