Non- fiction in human form, reforms,
and often times conforms,
casting ourselves into the arena.
Viewing live movies on a screen
intercepting the speed of sound
and light fantastic dreams.

Adjusting technical devices
zoom in and out
repetitive dilation
darkens the eyes.
Lights flash brightly,
forcing the color to change.

To some degree the mind comprehends
a universal energy
a conscious decision to believe.
Recognizing imperfection,
a minor detection
a close caption of words
never saying a thing.

Leading into a love story,
swooning over the stars
suddenly you realize
you've seen the end before.
Love is blind
costume design in disquise.

Hot wiring the connection,
brain waves on a monitor
race against the heart
a freestyle mindset
clouding aspects of perfection.
Snow falls down the screen
static clings.

We interrupt this program
to interfere with your perception.
Transfixed
by an optical illusion
spirals spin counter clockwise
an experience in technical difficulty.

Please stand by~

Hi Bluesy...
Your talent amazes me, as does your range...this one has a different tone/cadence from your other works that I`ve seen, and I do love it also! Quite the unique take on personal growth (if I`m not mistaken.)  I find I`m glad for the `usual` program to develop a hitch...let that freestyle mind have its way now and then!     Great stuff.

VERY interesting 'write' ! ...

"To some degree the mind comprehends
   a universal energy " ...

now THAT is a quintessential premise of
"Universalism" as a science and a philosophy!

Hey Blues this is really clever and it's good to read your thoughts again.
It's the kind of world we live in and nothing's going to change that.

I'm losing my head over it all.

Love does not look after it's own interests.

Hah! Eric has lost it, it seems over your poetry. There is one thing I know about life, love and all that good stuff and that it . . . er . . . Drat! I've forgotten.

Thank you for indulging me, and letting my mind run off.
So long as I don't let my head come unscrewed, Eric True~

Just thinking how far technology has come, and yet I find myself back peddling now and then.

You're a fine bunch of poets, and I appreciate each one of you.

Loved this, Bluesy Gal!  You always say everything so well and of course you must know that I found the subject matter ... just up my street.

Hi Helen~

I was inspired by the facade...and I cringe to think how easy it was to believe in.

Thanks for reading and understanding this~

loved the audio-visual imagery of a simpler time in this...really liked this:

"Love is blind
costume design in disquise."

...that is such a cool phrase...please stand by, I need to go back for yet another read...

This reminds of the Television programs I watched as a child, Well, as much as you could watch with all the technical difficulties.

My favorite part! And I love Ethome's pic.

I am still so far behind in the tech sense and feel I have become a bit stubborn in wanting to keep my life a bit simpler and to the "real"...although I can't deny the  wonder and love for the internet and computer and the meeting of so many terrific friends~~

Hugs You and hope the world is treating you gently.

This is indeed an interesting write.

"a close caption of words
never saying a thing."

I love those lines. Lovely.

Incredible. This really kept coming until I was snowed off of the screen. I think I'll just stand by...
