Cursed or Blessed Be

From the ancients are we
keepers of the flame of Poetry
Cursed or blessed be
to feel beyond intensity
compelled to tell intimately
the visions of clarity
Open souls are we
naked for all to see
dancing in our destiny

A true poet holds nothing back. That's not to say we have to regurgitate each sad fact of our lives. But if you cannot be true to yourself as a poet words are futile

You're right, Poet. Having all
of this energy of thought that
wants to be poured out - only He
knows why - is and can be either
a curse, or a blessing. I chose
the latter.

But I knew you would!
